Our athletic program is a co-op between our school and St. John the Baptist School in Smithton. The school is a member of the Southern Illinois Junior High School Athletic Association which allows us to compete at higher levels of competition with public schools in the area in addition to Catholic schools in the Diocese.
We are proud to offer several sports for students as young as kindergarten, and we host fundraisers during the year to support our program. All students interested in playing sports, including Junior Hawks, must have a current health form and updated physical (valid for 12 months) on file in the school office.

2025-26 ATHLETICS HIGHLIGHTS
- Junior Boys track and field won the Class A Diocesan Championship. William Correll won the title in discus and Carson Blaha (St. John) won the title in long jump. The Junior Boys relay team of Rook Yarber, Wesley Welsch, Christian Row, and Carson Blaha set two school records in the 4x100 and the 4x200.
- 5th Grade Boys volleyball won the St. Teresa Tournament.
- Junior Boys basketball placed 2nd in the Diocesan Tournament.
- 5th Grade Boys basketball finished 2nd in the 16-team St. Teresa Tournament to end the year.
- Parochial Girls basketball won the Consolation Championship of the Diocesan Tournament.
- Junior Girls basketball won the Consolation Championship of the Diocesan Tournament.
- Junior Boys soccer finished 3rd in the Diocesan Tournament.
- Parochial Girls soccer finished 3rd in the Diocesan Tournament.
